This entry-level course is intended to encourage and support learners in gaining
the skills necessary for employment in the construction industry or for entry to
a level 1 qualification in a specific trade or profession. It allows students to
experience working life, involving learning about working practices, developing skills
in construction occupations and learning through activities and challenges set in
work-related contexts. Learners will have the opportunity to undertake practical
activities in well resourced facilities under the supervision of experienced and
fully qualified staff.

NOCN Level 1 Progression Award
This Level One, nationally recognised qualification, provides a natural progression
for learners who have completed the Entry Level 3 award and supplies a challenging
platform enabling post 16 learners to progress onto further education or employment.
